MULTAN-The pace of work at Children Complex Hospital, Kidney Centre, Shahbaz Sharif Hospital and many health centres are nearing completion and the Chief Minister would soon inaugurate them.
District Coordination Officer Nadir Chattha disclosed at a meeting held here to review progress on healthcare projects on Monday.
He said that 90 percent of the total work on Children Complex extension project had been completed as Rs1,872 million has so far been spent on it.
He said that the number of beds in the hospital would become 200 after the completion of this project while a state-of-the-art liver transplant department would also be set up in the hospital.
He declared that furniture, equipment and power generation systems would be supplied to the hospital within few days.
Referring to Nishtar Burn Unit, he said that the Rs800 million project had been made fully functional while Shahbaz Sharif General Hospital is also offering healthcare facilities to the people.
He declared that special funds would be allocated in next budget for the up-gradation of basic health units.
“It will facilitate the rural population at large and offer them healthcare facilities at their doorstep,” he added.

Hope Multan Institute of Kidney Diseases will be more fficient under management of Indus hospital. Otherwise it will be ruined by chamchas of Quraishi, Gillani, Khakwani.........who all destroyed Multan
